Ski Safari Cervinia & Zermatt We meet in the morning in Cervinia. The technical equipment​​,​​ such as skis and boots​​,​​ are checked to ensure comfort and safety before we take the lifts. We warm up the muscles and refresh the technique with a couple of runs before entering Swiss territory​​,​​ at 3300 meters at Theodulpass. The view over the Plateau Rosa glacier is breathtaking. From the Small Matterhorn to the Zermatt valley​​,​​ a tongue of perennial snow​​,​​ transitioning from winter to summer. These areas are also famous for summer skiing with exceptional snow conditions. In just a couple of turns​​,​​ we find ourselves at the start of the recently built cableway facility​​,​​ called "Matterhorn Glacier Paradise." These are imposing heated "bubbles​​,​​" in continuous rotation towards the "Ice Paradise." The skiing continues on technical and enjoyable slopes​​,​​ all the way down to the village. Zermatt is renowned for its authenticity​​,​​ mountain tradition​​,​​ and tourism culture. It is not allowed to reach the village by combustion engine vehicles. Cars are left in a guarded parking lot​​,​​ and tourists and locals move around in horse-drawn carriages. Wonderful! On the way back​​,​​ we will take one of the most beautiful and famous slopes in Italy​​,​​ the "Ventina" slope​​,​​ with about 1​​,​​100 meters of vertical drop. The technique acquired during the day makes the descent to Cervinia simple and safe. The Matterhorn & Zermatt Ski Safari​​,​​ an unforgettable experience: you explore about 10​​,​​000 meters of mountains. With the lifts​​,​​ you reach Plain Maison and then further up towards the "Ice Paradise" of Plateau Rosa; the view is stunning. A quick check of the equipment​​,​​ and then off to the ski highway towards the village of Zermatt. Snow at 4​​,​​000 meters is fantastic. In the evening​​,​​ we return to Italy via the famous "Ventina" slope.
