Lars Hierta-fjellet named upon the Swedish discoverer and scientist Lars Hierta, which is a nearby and popular ski touring mountain close to Longyearbyen. On the way can stop by an ice cave for a visit. On top we enjoy a snack and the fantastic view. Depending on the conditions, we can ski on the west face or the east face. The faces are 30-35 degrees steep and the lenght of the rides vary from 300 - 400 altitude meters. The ridge is quite narrow and adventurous. Youur guide will pick you up at the hotel. You can rent ski or avalanche equipment from us if you need.
