Starting from Alagna Valsesia, a small Walser village on the slopes of the wild SE face of Monte Rosa, we will reach our great goal: immerse ourselves in wild nature and admire some of the best panoramas in the Alps to touch the Capanna Regina Margherita, located at 4554 m on Punta Gnifetti, the highest refuge in Europe! Cost: €490 (min. 3 max. 4 participants). Registration will be considered completed upon payment of the deposit of € 250. It is possible to repeat the event even on non-calendar dates, at the request of the customer. The price includes: - Professional Guide UIMLA International Mountain Leader - UIAGM Alpine Guide for the mountaineering part of the route - trekking planning and management - half board in refuge - customer accident insurance - use of satellite messaging in case of emergency The fee does not include: - transportation fee - costs of the Alagna ski lifts - packed lunches (the packed lunches of the guides must be divided among the participants) - alcoholic beverages and soft drinks - personal expenses - anything not expressly indicated under "the price includes"
Day 1
Day 1 | Alagna - Gnifetti Hut/Mantova Hut From Alagna you go up with the lifts up to Punta Indren (3275 m). From here on an easy glacier, making the necessary stops and maintaining a pace suitable for acclimatization, you reach the Capanna Gnifetti or Rifugio Mantova, historic starting points for ascents on the Rosa. Dinner and overnight at the refuge. Difficulty: F Elevation gain: about 400 D+ Duration: half day Dinner in the refuge
Day 2
Day 2 | Gnifetti Hut/Mantova Hut - Regina Margherita Hut 4554 m - Alagna Summit day! At first light we set off from the refuge for the ascent up the glacier, passing Colle del Lys and reaching the Capanna in the morning, located on the summit of Punta Gnifetti at 4554 m! At the Capanna we will be able to have a packed lunch or taste the famous highest pizza in Europe! After having feasted our eyes on the extraordinary surrounding panorama, we will begin the descent along the ascent itinerary, until we reach the Punta Indren lifts for the descent to Alagna, where we can celebrate with a well-deserved beer!
