Hiorthfjellet is the majestic mountain in front of Longyearbyens face. This mountain is every skiers dream. The mountain is shaped as a bowl towards South, which makes the skiing in sunsets or midnight sun even more authentic. To get there we go by a snowmobile for 15 minutes to save us from the approach. The faces are 30-35 degrees steep and the lenght of the ride is 800 altitude meter. The ridge is quite narrow and adventurous. Your guide will pick you up at the hotel. You can rent ski or avalanche equipment from us if you need. You need crampons to approach this mountain.
