E-mountain biking experience - intermediate

An unforgettable tour among the highest forts in Europe​,​ immersed in the nature and history of an area waiting to be discovered. You will enjoy spectacular landscapes​,​ breathtaking glacier views and have the time of your life on an epic descent. The Col du Granon is located in the nearby French mountains and is known as one of the hardest uphill stages of the Tour de France. Together with Chaberton Outdoor we will tackle the climb from the off-road side​,​ in full Mountain Bike spirit. Starting from Claviere​,​ a 700-meter descent will allow us to reach the start of the climb​,​ in the peaceful Nevache valley. The ascent is fascinating​,​ not too technical​,​ and flanked by magnificent larches and pines that will provide constant shade. During the ascent we will pass the hamlet of Granon​,​ a typical high-altitude village​,​ which still retains the characteristic architecture of the Alpine valleys. At an altitude of 2.000 meters​,​ we will make a round trip to visit the forts of l'Olive and du Lenlon​,​ suggestive constructions dating back to the end of the 19th century​,​ in a perfect state of preservation. The visit to the forts will be the perfect moment to take a refreshing break. The ascent will continue up to the 2413 meters above sea level of the Col Du Granon. We will evaluate together the return route​,​ which can be done on a splendid single track of around 8 km or by following the legendary Tour de France road. Arriving in the valley​,​ we will pass through the town of Briançon​,​ characterized by an ancient medieval village​,​ a UNESCO heritage site. Here the shuttle bus will be waiting for us to return home. Are you ready to go?
